Jairam Thakur Targets Sukhu Govt, Says CM Focused on Saving His Chair

Sundernagar/Mandi: Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur launched a sharp attack on the Congress government, alleging that Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s “only agenda is to save his chair.”

Addressing a BJP former employees’ cell conference in Sundernagar, Thakur criticised the government over the CAG report, poor road conditions, employee and pensioner issues, unemployment and the alleged slowdown in development.

He claimed that employees, pensioners and unemployed youth are being forced to protest for their legitimate demands. Referring to the CAG report, he said the BJP was studying its findings in detail and would present the facts before the public.

Thakur also alleged that the government was working with a “political vendetta” against BJP legislators instead of focusing on public welfare. He claimed that people had become disillusioned with the Congress government and predicted a BJP return with a full majority in the next Assembly elections.
