Gautam College Hamirpur Organises ‘Deeksharambh’ Programme for Freshers

Hamirpur: Gautam College, Hamirpur, organised a special ‘Deeksharambh’ programme to welcome newly admitted students to the institution. Around 250 fresher students participated enthusiastically in the event.

College Principal Dr. Raj Kumar welcomed the new students and briefed them about the institution’s academic achievements, learning environment, discipline and modern facilities. He encouraged students to make the most of their college experience and focus on their overall personality development.

The programme was attended by Chief Guest and College Managing Director Jagdish Gautam, along with Dr. Rajneesh Gautam and Arunesh.

Special Guest Brijesh Chauhan addressed the students on the importance of consistency, a positive outlook and long-term planning for achieving success. He encouraged them to set clear goals and work towards them with dedication.

Dr. Ratan Chand introduced students to NSS and Rover-Ranger activities, highlighting their role in personality development, social service and leadership building.

Dr. Dhrup Pal Singh, CRIQ, spoke about key provisions of the National Education Policy (NEP) and the opportunities available to students under the new education framework. He highlighted the importance of multidisciplinary learning and skill development in enhancing future career prospects.

The programme aimed to familiarise freshers with the college’s academic environment, institutional activities and opportunities for personal and professional growth. The event provided students with confidence, enthusiasm and a positive outlook as they embarked on their college journey.
