RKMV Students Promote Road Safety Through Posters, Slogans and Reels
Shimla, August 25, 2026: The Road Safety Club of Rajkiya Kanya Mahavidyalaya (RKMV), Shimla, organised a road safety awareness programme featuring competitions in poster making, slogan writing and reel making. Students participated enthusiastically, using creative expression to spread the message of responsible road behaviour.
In the Poster Making Competition, Swati (BA 2nd Year) secured first position, followed by Simran (BSc 3rd Year) in second and Niramaya (BSc 3rd Year) in third.
In Slogan Writing, Ayushi Thakur won first position, Anshika secured second and Tamanna Negi stood third. In the Reel Making Competition, Akshika secured first position, followed by Muskan in second and Shivani Thakur in third.
The competitions were judged by Prof. Geeta Sharma, Dr. Nidhi Dhatwalia and Dr. Ishita Roshan.
Addressing the students, college principal Dr. Anurita Saxena urged them to follow traffic rules themselves and encourage others to do the same. Emphasising the value of human life, she said road safety should be practised through awareness and responsibility rather than fear.
Dr. Kanika Sharma, coordinator of the Road Safety Club, along with club members and a large number of students, participated in the programme.
