Youth Learn Disaster Management and Career Skills at Leadership Boot Camp

Kullu, August 25: The second day of the three-day Future Youth Leaders Leadership Boot Camp, organised by Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), Kullu, focused on disaster management, rescue operations, career planning and skill development at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bajaura.

Held under the guidance of District Youth Officer Pratibha Sharma, the camp brought together National Youth Volunteers and young participants from different backgrounds. The day began with yoga and meditation sessions led by BK Krishna, BK Chandra Didi and BK Shyam, focusing on mental well-being, stress management and a positive lifestyle.

The District Disaster Management Authority conducted a session on disaster preparedness, safety measures and rescue response. Home Guards personnel, led by Kamal Bhandari, also provided practical training in rescue techniques, emergency response and teamwork.

A career guidance session was conducted by DIET Kullu Principal Surendra Sharma, who guided participants on career planning, skill development, employment opportunities and personality development.

The camp is aimed at strengthening leadership, confidence, decision-making, teamwork and social responsibility among young people, preparing them to respond effectively to future challenges and contribute positively to society.
