Una Administration Strengthens Support for Persons with Disabilities with FD Certificates

Una, August 4: The Una district administration took a significant step toward the economic empowerment of persons with disabilities by distributing fixed deposit (FD) certificates to four eligible beneficiaries working at a canteen run by specially-abled individuals in the old Deputy Commissioner’s office complex.

Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal handed over FD certificates worth ₹11,000 each to three beneficiaries and ₹5,100 to one beneficiary. He said the initiative aims to promote self-reliance and financial security, ensuring the deposits can support future needs such as healthcare, education, or emergencies. He also urged eligible beneficiaries to make full use of government welfare schemes.
