War Footing Restoration: Suez Company Repairs Damaged Roads in Shimla After Pipeline Laying

Shimla, July 28: Repair and restoration work on roads damaged during pipeline installation is currently underway on a war footing by Suez Company. To ensure high-quality standards in the restoration process, the company management has issued strict directives to contractors.

Under the 24×7 water supply project managed by Shimla Jal Prabandhan Nigam Limited (SJPNL), major pipe-laying work has been completed in several wards of the city, while execution continues rapidly in other areas. Following the installation of pipelines, damaged pathways have been temporarily repaired with cement to prevent any inconvenience to local residents during daily commuting.

According to company management, pathways and staircases where tiles were previously installed will be restored to their original condition in a phased manner. However, to ensure smooth pedestrian movement during the rainy season, the damaged routes are currently being made passable using cement. Once conditions permit, tiles will be reinstalled as required.

Suez Company has appealed for cooperation from the public during the excavation of paths and staircases. Management noted that ongoing rainfall has caused slight delays in restoration efforts. As tiles installed along Municipal Corporation roads and steps were uprooted during the pipe-laying process, contractors have been warned against any negligence during repairs.

Despite monsoon-related hurdles, the company emphasized that there will be no compromise on quality, assuring residents that all issues will be resolved promptly. Adhering to high execution standards remains the top priority, as quality forms the core foundation of safety, success, and public trust.
