World Hepatitis Day Awareness Programme Held in Solan

Solan | July 28, 2026: The Health and Family Welfare Department organised a World Hepatitis Day awareness programme at the Chief Medical Officer’s office in Solan. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ajay Pathak highlighted the causes, prevention and treatment of Hepatitis B, stressing that sharing syringes for drug use is a major source of infection. District Immunisation Officer Dr. Gagan emphasised the importance of early testing and vaccination. A poetry session was also organised to spread awareness about Hepatitis B, drug de-addiction and healthy living.
