PWD Minister Inaugurates, Lays Foundation for ₹16.77 Crore Development Projects in Shimla

Shimla July 18: Himachal Pradesh Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for development projects worth around ₹16.77 crore in Shimla Rural and the Shimla Municipal Corporation area. Key projects include the ₹90 lakh Gadawag link road, a ₹15 crore modern vehicular bridge near Tutu Railway Station, the inauguration of the Majyat ambulance road and a community hall. He said improving road connectivity to every village in the Shimla Municipal Corporation’s urban and rural areas remains the government’s top priority.
The minister also announced plans to enhance HRTC taxi services, explore a sports ground in Chayali Panchayat, develop hydraulic parking facilities and expedite ongoing infrastructure works, including a ₹17.5 crore sewerage plant at Bharyal. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening transport and civic infrastructure across the region.
