Beautician Trainees Sensitised on TB, HIV/AIDS Prevention

Hamirpur, July 18: Participants of the Beauty Parlour Training Course at the Punjab National Bank Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), Hamirpur, attended an awareness session on tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis and other communicable diseases. Health experts highlighted the importance of hygiene, sterilisation of equipment and the use of safety kits to prevent infections in beauty salons.
The session was led by District AIDS Control Officer and TB Elimination Programme Officer Dr. Sunil Verma, while RSETI Director Ajay Kumar Katna briefed participants about the ongoing skill development programme for women.
