Chamba, July 16: Himachal Pradesh’s push for natural farming is delivering strong results, with 133 farmers in Chamba selling 185.92 quintals of naturally grown wheat** to the government in 2026 at a minimum support price (MSP) of ₹80 per kg. The state remains the only one in India offering such a high MSP for naturally cultivated wheat, encouraging farmers to shift towards sustainable agriculture.
Officials said the initiative is boosting farm incomes, reducing cultivation costs, and promoting eco-friendly farming practices. The government has also announced attractive MSPs for naturally grown maize, barley, turmeric, and ginger to further expand natural farming across the state.
