Shimla Launches Awareness Campaign on SC Welfare Schemes in Rural Areas

Shimla, July 8: The Shimla district administration is conducting a special outreach campaign to raise awareness about welfare schemes for Scheduled Castes across rural areas. Through street plays and cultural performances, Information and Public Relations Department-approved cultural groups are educating eligible beneficiaries about housing assistance, skill development, self-employment, scholarships, free computer training, and inter-caste marriage incentives. The campaign also includes anti-drug awareness sessions, urging families to keep youth away from substance abuse while promoting access to various government welfare programmes.
