Kotgarh Entrepreneurs Gain Insights into Digital Marketing, GeM Portal and MSME Schemes

Kotgarh (Shimla), June 6: More than 30 entrepreneurs and MSME representatives from Kotgarh and nearby areas participated in a one-day awareness workshop on digital marketing, Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal and the Micro & Small Enterprises Cluster Development Programme (MSE-CDP), organised by the Department of Industries, Himachal Pradesh, at Thanedhar Panchayat.
The workshop aimed to strengthen digital literacy, promote online brand building and create awareness about government support schemes available for small businesses and entrepreneurs.
Thanedhar Panchayat Pradhan Sucheta Thakur, Extension Officer Yashpal and Range Forest Officer Ajay Kumar attended the programme. Experts highlighted how digital technologies can help local enterprises expand their market reach and improve competitiveness.
During the technical sessions, participants were introduced to social media marketing, digital advertising, customer engagement strategies and online brand development. Detailed information was also shared on the benefits of the MSE-CDP scheme, including cluster development, financial assistance and technical support for MSMEs.
A dedicated session on the GeM portal explained registration procedures, product listing, participation in government procurement and business opportunities available through the platform.
Entrepreneurs actively interacted with resource persons, sought guidance on business-related issues and described the workshop as highly informative and beneficial for exploring new growth opportunities.
