Dry Day Declared in Chirgaon Nagar Panchayat Area Ahead of Civic Polls
1 min readRohru, May 15: Dharmesh Ramotra, Returning Officer (MC)-cum-Sub Divisional Magistrate of Rohru, has declared a dry day in the Chirgaon Nagar Panchayat area in view of the upcoming municipal elections.
He said the dry day will remain in force from 3 pm on May 15, 2026, until completion of the counting process on May 17, 2026, under provisions of Section 304(R) of the Himachal Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, 1994.
During this period, sale, distribution and serving of liquor or other intoxicating substances at hotels, dhabas, restaurants, bars, clubs, liquor vends and all public or private places within the notified area will remain completely prohibited.
All liquor shops, bars and related establishments in the concerned area will remain closed during the specified period.
The administration warned that strict action will be taken against individuals or establishments found violating the orders.
