Transfer and Promotion of HP Secretariat Service Officers

Shimla, May 7, 2026: The Himachal Pradesh Government on Wednesday issued transfer and posting orders for several Himachal Pradesh Secretariat Service (HPSS) officers with immediate effect in the public interest.
According to a notification issued by the Department of Personnel (Appointment-IV), Shri Vijay Kumar, HPSS, Deputy Secretary (Digital Technologies and Governance), has been transferred and posted as Deputy Secretary (Home) to the Government of Himachal Pradesh.
Shri Manmohan Chopra, Under Secretary (Ayush), has been shifted as Under Secretary (Home), while Ms. Vandana, Under Secretary (Industries), has been posted as Under Secretary (SA).
Ms. Ranjana Sharma, Under Secretary (Education), has been transferred as Under Secretary (Youth Services & Sports and Digital Technologies & Governance). Shri Ramesh Chand, Under Secretary (Youth Services & Sports), has been posted as Under Secretary (Industries).
The government has also ordered promotions of four HPSS officers. Shri Tarun Saxena has been promoted and posted as Under Secretary (Finance-IF), Ms. Vandana Gupta as Under Secretary (Ayush), Shri Ved Parkash as Under Secretary (Finance Regulation), and Shri Govind Ballabh Upadhyay as Under Secretary (Personnel).
The notification was issued by Chief Secretary Sanjay Gupta.
