137 Candidates File Nominations for Urban Local Body Polls in Una

Una, May 2: A total of 137 candidates have filed nominations for the upcoming urban local body elections in Una district, with 67 candidates submitting their papers on the final day of the nomination process.
District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal informed that earlier, 11 nominations were filed on the first day and 59 on the second day.
On the last day, nominations were filed across multiple municipal bodies including Tahliwal, Gagret, Mehatpur-Basdehra, Daulatpur, Amb, and Santokhgarh, reflecting active participation in the electoral process.
The scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on May 4, while candidates can withdraw their nominations till 3 PM on May 6. Election symbols will be allotted thereafter. Polling is scheduled for May 17 from 7 AM to 3 PM, and counting of votes will be held on May 31.
