HP Govt to Distribute Stainless Steel Water Bottles to School Students

Shimla, April 17:
The Directorate of School Education, Himachal Pradesh, has issued a directive following the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s announcement to provide safe drinking water facilities to school students across the state. Under this initiative, stainless steel water bottles will be distributed to all students from pre-primary to Class 12 in government schools.

The distribution will be carried out through 143 Block Project Officers across Himachal Pradesh, ensuring comprehensive coverage of beneficiaries. The department has instructed Deputy Directors of School Education (Elementary and Secondary) to furnish detailed data regarding the total number of students and concerned Block Project Officers within the stipulated timeline.

Officials have been asked to compile and submit accurate information from all subordinate institutions promptly, enabling timely procurement and distribution of the bottles. The move aims to promote safe drinking practices and improve student health and hygiene standards in schools.

The Directorate emphasized strict adherence to deadlines to ensure that the initiative reaches all eligible students without delay.
