Golden Journey of Faith: Loreto Shimla Celebrates 50 Years of Sr. Tressia’s Religious Life

On 11th April 2026 the Loreto family Shimla, joined in to celebrate a joyous moment marking a milestone of a journey of grace ,dedication and spirituality as they paid their heartfelt gratitude to Sr. Tressia who completed blessed fifty years in the religious journey.
The programme was held in the Gonzaga Auditorium which included A Holy Mass,Crowing and Felicitation of Sr. Tressia, power point presentation and a special cultural programme prepared by the teaching staff and support staff which included a welcome song & dance,a prayer dance and self composed song for Sr.Tressia honouring her invaluable contribution and a remarkable religious journey.
Sr.Tressia’s life stands as a shining example of dedication, compassion, and love, inspiring generations of students and staff alike. This momentous occasion gave us an opportunity to thank God for the gift of her vocation and to celebrate the countless lives she has touched through her humble service.
On this sacred occasion several distinguished guests and dignitaries graced the celebration. Among them were Father Antony Dexen, Father Anil Sequeira,Father Robert, Sisters from St.Bede’s College, Sisters from Convent of Jesus and Mary and other religious people from Shimla Deanery.
The Guest for the Day Sr.Tressia was welcomed by Ms.Sharma adorned with a Crown and a Sash by Sr. Apolina and Sr. Anima.
The main celebrant of the Holy Mass was Father Jose Parappilly ( S.D.B) . The other family members who attended
the occasion included Abraham and Beji Abraham, Baby and Princy Baby, Sr. Prabha Grace( C.M.C.) and Sr. Josy(C.M.C). Their presence added deep emotional warmth and significance to the religious celebration.
Sr. Igora and Sr. Amia Tate, the Counsel Members representing the Province,Sr.Greta Robert and Sr. Valeria from Delhi, Sr.Kavita from Lucknow were also present on the occasion.
The Mass was followed by a specially curated programme and concluded with a sumptuous luncheon for the guests. Under the able guidance of Sr.Apolina Lakra, Secretary Managing Committee and Ms. Sharma Principal , the Golden Jubilee celebration became a true spectacle of Almighty’s grace bestowed on all the dignitaries, guests,audience and staff of the institute.
