₹20.7 Crore Disaster Mitigation Proposals Reviewed in Shimla

Shimla, March 30, 2026:
Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap chaired a meeting to review four disaster mitigation proposals worth ₹20.70 crore to be submitted to the Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority. He directed officials to address all shortcomings within a week and resubmit the proposals.
The proposals include flood protection measures in Suru village (₹1.86 crore), slope stabilization between Ramchandra Chowk and Henault Public School Phase-II (₹9.33 crore), safety works on the Shimla-Mandi road at Sunni (₹9.05 crore), and retrofitting of a school building in Kufri (₹43.94 lakh).
It was also informed that out of six earlier proposals, two worth ₹10.63 crore have been recommended, two received in-principle approval, while two were returned for corrections.
