Chamba Literary Festival to Become Annual Event; Contributors Felicitated

Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repswal announced that the Chamba Literary Festival will now be organized as a regular annual event under the aegis of Government Postgraduate College, Chamba. He assured full support from the district administration to ensure its continuity and growth.
Speaking at a event held at Bachat Bhawan, the Deputy Commissioner felicitated officials, former officers, faculty members, students, and media representatives for their significant contribution to the successful आयोजन of the festival.
To strengthen institutional continuity, Repswal suggested the registration of a dedicated body for the festival and emphasized greater community participation. He also invited retired Joint Director Education Dr. Vidyasagar Sharma to contribute ideas and support for future editions.
Highlighting the importance of engaging youth in literary activities, he directed the college administration to prepare an annual calendar for inter-college literary events at the district level. The District Language Officer was also instructed to ensure the organising of literary programmes across various colleges in the district.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Amit Mehra encouraged students and budding writers to share their creative works with the administration and District Language Office, stating that a digital platform will be strengthened to promote literary expression.
Senior officials, academicians, and literary contributors present at the event also shared their views on making the Chamba Literary Festival more vibrant and inclusive.
