Shoolini University holds 9th Convocation, awards degrees to over 1,100 students

Shoolini University held its 9th Convocation Ceremony on Saturday at its campus in the Kasauli Hills, conferring degrees on 1,087 undergraduate and postgraduate students and 85 PhD scholars, marking a significant academic milestone.
Dr Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, National Educational Technology Forum (NETF) and Executive Council Member, NAAC, attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest. Addressing the graduates, he emphasised the importance of lifelong learning and highlighted the role of the National Education Policy in building a developed India. He also urged students to become responsible citizens and contribute meaningfully to society.
Guest of Honour Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra, Chancellor of Shobhit University, described graduation as a new beginning and encouraged students to align their personal success with the progress of the nation. He advised them to remain ambitious, stay grounded in values, and continue striving for excellence.
Guest of Honour Dr Rajan Welukar, Vice Chancellor, ATLAS SkillTech University, Mumbai, highlighted the importance of continuous learning, adaptability, and emotional intelligence. He noted that while academic qualifications provide a foundation, interpersonal skills and compassion are equally essential for success.
The convocation was presided over by the university leadership, including Chancellor Prof. PK Khosla and Vice Chancellor Prof. Atul Khosla, along with members of the Governing Body, Board of Management, and Academic Council.
Out of the total graduating cohort, 569 students received undergraduate degrees and 518 were awarded postgraduate degrees across various disciplines. In addition, 85 scholars were conferred doctoral degrees for their research contributions. The university also honoured 30 medallists and 23 merit certificate holders for outstanding academic performance.
In his address, Vice Chancellor Prof. Atul Khosla highlighted the university’s academic achievements and global research standing. He encouraged students to lead purpose-driven lives with courage and integrity, uphold values, and embrace challenges with confidence.
Chancellor Prof. PK Khosla congratulated the graduates and described them as ambassadors of the university. He urged them to dream big, remain resilient in the face of challenges, and stay committed to knowledge and excellence.
On the occasion, Prof. Anil Kumar Tripathi, Director, IISER Mohali, said that the true purpose of higher education lies in the preservation, creation and application of knowledge. He emphasised the importance of continuous learning and noted that success and failure are integral parts of life.
Dr Madan Padaki, Founder, JAN AI, Bengaluru, highlighted the immense potential within every individual and stressed the need to channel this potential for the benefit of society. He encouraged students to move beyond being job seekers and become job creators.
The ceremony concluded with the academic procession and formal conferment of degrees. The vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Nishtha Anand, President and Dean, Faculty of Media and Liberal Arts, who expressed gratitude to the distinguished guests, faculty members, and students for making the event a grand success.
