Additionally, 521 commercial cylinders were dispatched and 499 are still available, which are being supplied on priority to hospitals and educational institutions.
The DC assured that there is no shortage of LPG, petrol or diesel in the district and urged citizens not to indulge in unnecessary hoarding. He also directed SDMs to monitor petrol pumps and gas agencies daily and submit evening reports on supply status.
He instructed officials to assess demand for kerosene and coal as alternative fuels and ensure availability where required. Checks will also be conducted to prevent the use of domestic LPG cylinders in hotels and commercial establishments and to ensure petrol and diesel are not supplied in cans to avoid hoarding.
