DC Mukesh Repaswal chairs District Water and Sanitation Mission Meeting

Officials should ensure effective sample testing and sanitary survey.

A meeting of the District Water and Sanitation Mission was held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Chamba, Mukesh Repaswal. Various issues related to drinking water quality were discussed in detail during the meeting.
During the meeting, the progress of sample testing through field test kits, status of testing of water samples in the laboratories of Jal Shakti Department and progress of sanitary survey were reviewed.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officials to ensure regular testing of water samples using field test kits to continuously monitor water quality. He also directed the Water Power Department’s laboratories to make the sample testing process more effective.
While giving instructions to complete the work of sanitary survey soon, the Deputy Commissioner said that all the concerned departments should work in mutual coordination, so that safe and clean drinking water can be made available to the people.
Executive Engineer Water Power Department Jitendra Sharma along with officers from various departments were present in the meeting.
