Shimla, Feb 26 : Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur led a BJP delegation to meet Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla at Raj Bhavan, submitting a memorandum over the alleged interference in Delhi Police’s legal action related to the AI Impact Summit 2026 controversy. Addressing the media, Thakur accused the state government of misusing the police machinery for political purposes and claimed that attempts were made to obstruct evidence collection, including seizure of CCTV DVRs. He further alleged that individuals linked to the protest were given shelter in Himachal and demanded a high-level probe into the incident. The delegation sought an independent investigation into the role of the Chief Minister’s Office and strict action against those found responsible.
