Three Arrested in Kumarsein Assault Case; Country-Made Pistol Recovered in Related Probe

Shimla, February 25, 2026: Shimla Police have arrested three accused in connection with an assault case registered at Kumarsein Police Station following an attack near Bithal in December 2025. According to police, the victim sustained head injuries after being allegedly stopped and assaulted while returning from a wedding function. Based on investigation and evidence, the arrested individuals were produced before the court and further inquiry is underway.

In a related update, police also recorded a disclosure statement from another accused and recovered a country-made pistol allegedly used during the incident. The weapon was found hidden under stones in bushes along a roadside near Dhar-Gaura. Officials said the recovery was made in the presence of witnesses and the investigation continues.
