Shimla Police Rescue Mentally Unwell Woman, Safely Shift Her to Mashobra Nari Niketan

Shimla, February 22, 2026: Shimla Police acted swiftly to trace a mentally unwell woman who had reportedly wandered barefoot into a forest area near Balika Ashram after leaving the SAKHI One Stop Centre in Mashobra. Following an alert from the centre, the Mashobra police team launched an immediate search operation with staff members and local residents. The woman, around 48 years old, was later found safe in a nearby forest area and brought back under protection. After completing necessary formalities, she was safely shifted to Nari Niketan Mashobra. Police assured that emergency assistance will continue to be provided with promptness and sensitivity.
