Door-to-Door Survey from March 1
Shimla, February 21, 2026:A special vaccination campaign against cervical cancer will be launched for the first time, with ASHA workers conducting door-to-door surveys from March 1 to identify eligible girls. The nationwide HPV vaccination drive is proposed to begin on March 29 and will continue for three months with Sunday vaccination sessions. Girls aged between 14 and 15 years will receive a free single-dose vaccine at 39 identified centres across the district. Registration will be done through the U-WIN portal with mandatory parental consent. Officials emphasized awareness, preparedness at vaccination sites, and ensuring that no eligible girl is left out of the campaign.
