Albendazole to be Administered to Children Across Shimla Schools and Anganwadi Centres on Feb 23

Shimla, February 21, 2026:A district-level task force meeting chaired by DC Shimla Anupam Kashyap reviewed preparations for the second round of National Deworming Day. On February 23, Albendazole and Vitamin-A will be provided to children aged 1–19 years across all government and private schools, anganwadi centres, and health facilities. Around 2.21 lakh children have been targeted under the campaign, which will be implemented through over 2,150 government schools, 450 private schools, 2,154 anganwadi centres, and ASHA workers. Officials stated that prior training and awareness campaigns have already been completed to ensure smooth execution.
