Two Key Kangra Roads to Remain Closed for Maintenance; Alternate Routes Notified

Dharamshala, February 20: Deputy Commissioner Kangra Hemraj Bairwa has issued traffic notifications under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, announcing temporary closure of two important roads in the district due to repair works.
The Kotla–Behar Ghati Bilwan Road under Dehra subdivision will remain completely closed for all vehicular movement from February 25 to March 24, 2026. During this period, commuters have been advised to use the Kaloh–Pragpur–Dhaliyara–Dada Siba–Sansarpur Terrace–Bharwain–Chintpurni–Kandori–Damtal route as an alternative.
Similarly, the Chamukha to Bangana Road in Pragpur subdivision will remain closed from February 27 to March 26, 2026. Traffic will be diverted via Nihari–Khairan Khad, Shantla–Rakd, Shantla–Budhar via Sai Road, and Tutru–Kaloh routes.
The district administration has appealed to residents and commuters to cooperate and follow the notified diversions to ensure smooth execution of repair works and public safety.
