1.115 Kg Charas Seized in Deha; Accused Arrested During Anti-Drug Drive

Shimla, Feb 13: Under a special anti-drug campaign, Shimla district police recovered 1.115 kg of charas in Deha police station area and arrested one accused. Acting on a secret tip-off, a special team set up a naka near Naina Kainchi Balg Road and apprehended Rajesh Kumar, a resident of Rajgarh in Sirmaur district. The contraband was recovered from his bag and a case under the NDPS Act has been registered. Police said further investigation is underway to trace forward and backward linkages and dismantle the drug network.
