1 min read

Solan, Feb 02, 2026 : Sanjay Awasthi said that the Himachal Pradesh government remains committed to the state’s balanced development despite serious economic difficulties. Speaking during the ‘Sarkar Gaon Ke Dwar’ programme in Arki, he criticized the recent central budget, calling it disappointing for the people of Himachal, especially after the withdrawal of revenue deficit grants and disaster-related compensations.

He stated that under the leadership of Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the state government is strengthening farmers and livestock owners by increasing minimum support prices for naturally grown crops and milk. He highlighted MSP rates for wheat, maize, turmeric, and enhanced milk prices to boost rural income. Awasthi also defended the state’s decision to increase MGNREGA wages to ₹320 per day, calling recent changes by the Centre anti-people.
