Public Meetings and Protests Banned at 10 Identified Locations in Shimla City

Shimla Feb 02, 2026: Anupam Kashyap has imposed restrictions on public gatherings, protests, rallies, and demonstrations at 10 identified locations across Shimla to maintain public order. The orders prohibit activities such as meetings, processions, slogan shouting, band performances, and carrying objects that could be used as weapons within specified areas. Security personnel on duty have been exempted from these restrictions. The आदेश (orders) have come into immediate effect and will remain valid until March 31, 2026. Any violation will invite legal action, and prior permission from competent authorities will be mandatory for events at these locations.
