Baddi, Jan 26, 2026: IEC University, Atal Shiksha Kunj, organised the 5th edition of the BBN Bike Ride as a two-day mega event to mark Himachal Pradesh Statehood Day and Republic Day. The rally was held on January 25 from Delhi to IEC University, followed by a return ride on January 26 via Baddi to Delhi, with full security arrangements in place.
This year’s bike ride focused on the theme “Say No to Drugs”, aiming to actively engage youth in the anti-drug awareness movement.
The programme began with flag hoisting by Vice Chancellor Dr Ashok Puri, followed by a plantation drive led by SP Baddi Vinod Dhiman (IPS) and Additional SP Ashok Verma, symbolising the beginning of the de-addiction campaign. Dr Puri described the initiative as a strong step towards educating young minds about the harmful effects of substance abuse and appreciated the support of Baddi Police for the smooth conduct of the event.
Members of the renowned DRER (Delhi Royal Enfield Riders) group, along with IEC University students and faculty, participated enthusiastically. Students also presented street plays, NCC parade performances, cultural programmes and motivational talks centred on the theme of drug-free living.
