Sirmour
A horrific fire incident has once again shaken Himachal Pradesh. In Sirmaur district’s Talagna village, a massive blaze engulfed a residential house late last night. While the entire village was fast asleep, the house suddenly caught fire and was soon surrounded by raging flames. The fire spread so rapidly that the people inside barely had any time to react.
Suspected LPG Cylinder Blast:
According to preliminary information, the main cause of the tragedy is suspected to be the explosion of an LPG cylinder. The blast was so powerful that the entire structure was engulfed in flames within moments. Trapped amid thick smoke and fire, six people were burnt alive in the incident.
Upon receiving information, local police and fire brigade teams navigated the difficult terrain to reach the spot. Sangrah SDM Sunil Kaith confirmed the incident and stated that one person was rescued alive from the debris and flames. The injured individual was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where treatment is ongoing.
Rescue Operations and Investigation:
Relief and rescue teams remain deployed at ground zero to ensure the situation is fully brought under control. Although initial observations point towards a gas cylinder explosion, administrative authorities and forensic teams are conducting a detailed investigation to determine whether the fire was caused by a short circuit or another technical fault.
This second major fire incident after the Arki tragedy has raised serious concerns about fire safety standards in the hilly regions of Himachal Pradesh.
