Pulse Polio Drive to Cover Over 46,000 Children in Una on December 21

Una, December 17:
As part of the National Pulse Polio Programme, polio drops will be administered to 46,167 children below five years of age across Una district on December 21. Additional Deputy Commissioner Mahendra Pal Gurjar reviewed the preparations for the campaign and issued necessary directions to concerned departments to ensure its smooth implementation.

A total of 362 polio booths, 55 transit points, and 22 mobile teams will be deployed to cover all areas, including remote and vulnerable locations. Polio drops will be administered from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at booths set up at bus stands, ISBT Una, railway stations, Anganwadi centres, schools, and other identified locations. House-to-house vaccination will be conducted on December 22 and 23 to cover any missed children.

The ADC appealed to parents to ensure that all children under five years of age receive polio drops and urged public cooperation to keep Una district polio-free.
