Shoolini University Online hosts first convocation marking growth and excellence

Shoolini University held its first convocation for its Centre for Distance and Online Education , marking an important milestone in its mission to provide flexible, inclusive and high-quality online education. Dr. R.C. Sobti, Former Vice Chancellor of Panjab University and BBAU Lucknow, was the Chief Guest.
The event began with a dignified academic procession led by the band of Shanti Niketan Child Home, Subathu, adding grandeur and cultural vibrance to the celebration.
Prof. Amar Raj Singh Suri, Director, Shoolini Centre for Distance and Online Learning (SCDOE), welcomed the gathering and presented the centre report, vision and mission. He stated, “This is a celebration of flexible, boundaryless education that is transforming lives.” He highlighted that SCDOE was established in 2022, and in just three years has grown impressively to serve over 11,000 learners from diverse backgrounds, including rural, urban, and metro regions, IAS officers, executives, teachers, and international students.
He further shared key developments such as bilingual lectures in English and Hindi, regular Masterclasses by industry professionals, strong student support, and skill-based learning integrated with Generative AI. SCDOE now offers leading online programmes, including MBA, MA English literature, MCA, MSc Data Science, B.Com honours, BBA, BCA, MAJMC, with BA to be launched soon.
SCDOE has gained international acclaim by earning a Silver Rating in the Times Higher Education Online Learning Rankings (OLR) 2024), placing it among the top 25 online learning institutions worldwide. Combined with Shoolini University’s NAAC A+ accreditation, this achievement reaffirms the University’s leadership in world-class digital education.
The ceremony was attended by dignitaries, including Mr. Ashok Anand, Trustee, Shoolini University; Mr. Satish Anand, Trustee, Shoolini University; Mrs. Saroj Khosla, President, SILB; and Prof. Sunil Puri, Registrar, Shoolini University.
Prof. Vishal Anand, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Shoolini University joined online and congratulated the graduates.
Prof. Atul Khosla, Vice Chancellor Shoolini University, inspired the audience with four powerful stories, drawing lessons from Chancellor Prof. P.K. Khosla, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Nobel Laureate Dr. Robert Huber, and Steve Jobs, emphasising courage, big dreams, perseverance, and risk-taking.
Chancellor Prof. P.K. Khosla encouraged graduates to align their body, mind and soul to achieve excellence.
Chief Guest Dr. Sobti spokes on SDGs, sustainability and the transformative power of education, praising Shoolini University and its dedicated educators for their commitment to quality learning.
In the Vote of Thanks, Prof. Ashish Khosla, President and Chief Innovation and Marketing, acknowledged all contributors and congratulated the graduates for their achievements.
Degrees were conferred upon all students present. Sushma Devi received the Gold Medal for MBA, while Aaryan Sharma received the Certificate of Honour for MA English Literature.
