1 min read

Kangra, November 11: The Agriculture Department has announced an opportunity for individuals to work as private surveyors for the upcoming Digital Crop Survey across all villages. Deputy Agriculture Director Dr. Kuldeep Dhiman said that the department will conduct a digital mapping of every farmer’s field to assess the area under various crops.

Interested candidates can apply through the portal hpdcs.agristack.gov.in/crop-survey-hp or via the DCS Himachal Pradesh mobile app available on the Play Store.

Dr. Dhiman said the Digital Crop Survey will help estimate crop production during rabi and kharif seasons, enabling better planning and marketing decisions at the district and state level. He urged farmers to provide accurate information about the crops grown on their land when surveyors visit their homes.

Private surveyors will be selected to conduct field surveys and upload farmer data on the app. They will receive commission based on the number of entries uploaded. Anyone above 18 years of age—including patwaris, panchayat representatives, cooperative society secretaries, ATMA ATM/BTM staff, agriculture sakhis, pashu sakhis, unemployed agriculture or horticulture graduates—may apply for the role.
