Kullu, November 7: The Himachal Pradesh Government has introduced a new online e-KYC verification system for social security pension beneficiaries through a special mobile app. The verification process is being carried out at Anganwadi Centres across the state.

District Welfare Officer Girdhari Lal Sharma urged all pensioners — including the elderly, widows and persons with disabilities — to complete their e-KYC by November 15, 2025. Beneficiaries must visit the nearest Anganwadi Centre with Aadhaar card, age proof (issued by Panchayat Secretary, Municipal Corporation or Health Department), voter ID, Class 10 certificate, PAN card or birth certificate, and a copy of bank/post office passbook.

This initiative aims to prevent errors and delays in pension disbursement, eliminating the need for repeated visits to government offices. Currently, 55,805 beneficiaries in the district receive pensions ranging from ₹1,000 to ₹1,700 per month.
