Development Push in Kasumpti: FRA Approval Accelerated for 230 Roads

Shimla, October 30 — Rural Development & Panchayati Raj Minister Aniruddh Singh reviewed ongoing works during his visit to Kasumpti Assembly constituency, assuring timely redressal of public issues.

Addressing a public gathering in Thund village, the Minister informed that 50.75 lakh is being spent on development in Satlai Panchayat during the current government’s tenure. The FRA approval for Shili–Behradhar Road will be granted soon. He further announced construction of a bridge on the nala along the Thund road to avoid public inconvenience.

He disclosed that FRA approval applications for 230 roads have been submitted in the constituency, out of which 70 roads have already been approved. Additionally, he announced:
• ₹3 lakh for stage construction in Thund
• Rain shelters for Thund and Pazholi valley
• ₹2 lakh for the local Mahila Mandal

New Panchayat Ghar at Peeran

During a programme at Dhali Bagda School, he said FRA approval for three roads — Shili–Behradhar, Khaltoo–Tarai, and Peeran–Diyothi — will be completed within a month, while 100 roads are targeted for FRA clearance next year.

He announced ₹3 lakh for community works in Anji and revealed that a new Panchayat Ghar in Peeran will be built at a cost of ₹1.14 crore, with ₹25 lakh already sanctioned.

Support for Local Groups

In Diyothi, the Minister announced ₹50,000 for the Mahila Mandal, promising priority resolution to other local issues.

Major Infrastructure Boost in Satlai

A new Panchayat Ghar worth ₹1.14 crore will be constructed in Satlai featuring a community hall, library, and meeting facilities. Other announcements included:
• ₹1 lakh for the Mahila Mandal
• Three-phase power line from Satlai to Karmod
• ₹2 lakh for Chikhad Temple Sarai
• Financial support for construction of a sports field
• New transformers in Satlai and Katiya Mazar
• Stage construction worth ₹3 lakh

He urged villagers to come forward with gift deeds for land to expedite road completion, stating that quality roads help boost rural incomes by improving market access for agricultural produce.

He shared that 19 new Panchayat Ghars are under construction in the constituency and directed officials to complete formalities for sports stadium in Cheekhad, for which ₹35 lakh has already been released. The Giri Khad to Kayal water supply scheme was also listed as a priority work.
