JUIT’s “Vocal for Local” Initiative Promotes Rural Artisans and Self-Reliance

Solan,Oct 10: The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) Club of Jaypee University of Information Technology organized a three-day event, “Vocal for Local,” on October 4th, 6th, and 7th, 2025, at the Open Cafeteria. The event showcased the craftsmanship of women artisans from Chausha Village, featuring handmade candles, diyas, soaps, baskets, and decorative items. With active participation from over 600 students, faculty, and staff, the event received a tremendous response, significantly boosting the artisans’ confidence and sales. The initiative also reinforced the university’s commitment to empowering local communities and promoting sustainable development through self-reliance.
