FDP organised on ‘Bridging Industry and Academia’ at Shoolini University

Shoolini University, in collaboration with DigiMantra, organised a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on the theme “Bridging Industry and Academia through AI-Powered Teaching and Learning.”
The day-long programme brought together university faculty, senior administrators, and industry experts to discuss the integration of Artificial Intelligence into modern teaching and learning practices.
The FDP formed part of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed earlier between Shoolini University and DigiMantra, under which an Incubation Centre was announced. The centre will serve as a platform for student placements, industry-led projects, faculty engagement and knowledge exchange. Also to organise FDP, curriculum development, students’ live projects, and conduct Microsoft certification
Delivering the keynote address, Mr Bikram Jeet Singh, Global Vice President of DigiMantra, highlighted the need for graduates to become interdisciplinary professionals capable of adapting across diverse fields such as Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things, renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure.
The sessions also examined the transition from Industry 4.0 to Industry 5.0, stressing the growing importance of human–machine collaboration and sustainable development.
Interactive activities encouraged faculty members to design industry-driven assignments, identify existing skill gaps, and participate in a corporate-level simulation exercise. Participants were also introduced to a suite of AI-powered industry tools, including ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Tableau GPT and Canva Magic Design.
In his address, Prof P K Khosla, Chancellor of Shoolini University, praised the FDP as a forward-looking initiative that would strengthen academia-industry partnerships and prepare students to meet future challenges.
The event was also attended by Prof Sunil Puri, Registrar and Brig Sunil Dutt Mehta, Director Operations, Prof Pooja Verma, Assistant Director, SCDOE, and Mr Rohit Khosla, Vice President, Industry Relations and Career Services, SCDOE, Mr. Rohit also extended a warm welcome to the DigiMantra team led by Mr Bikram Jeet Singh and his colleague, Mr Tushar.
