Vikramaditya Singh Marries Dr. Amreen Kaur, Calls It “New Beginning”

Shimla, Sept. 22: PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh tied the knot with Dr. Amreen Kaur Sekhon from Chandigarh, marking what he described as “the happiest day of his life.” Speaking to the media after the wedding, Vikramaditya said, “This is a new beginning. The 75 lakh people of Himachal are part of our family, and their blessings are with us. I thank them all. Himachal is going through challenging times, but I will continue to make every possible effort for the people.”
Dr. Amreen Kaur, nearly 35, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Panjab University, Chandigarh. Daughter of Sardar Jotindra Singh Sekhon and Sardarni Opindra Kaur, she has an impressive academic background, with dual Master’s degrees in English and Psychology, a PhD in Psychology, and higher studies at Harvard University. This is her first marriage.
This marks Vikramaditya Singh’s second marriage. Earlier, on 8 March 2019, he had married Sudarshan Singh Chundawat of the former royal family of Mewar in Jaipur. However, the marriage ended in separation in 2022, with Sudarshan also accusing him of domestic violence.
