CU Himachal to Host Week-long World Tourism Day 2025 Celebrations

Dharamshala, Sept 21: The School of Travel, Tourism & Hospitality Management, Himachal Pradesh Central University (NAAC A+ accredited, CGPA 3.42), is set to host a week-long celebration of World Tourism Day 2025 from September 22–27. The global theme, “Tourism and Green Transformation,” will guide academic, cultural, and community-driven events highlighting tourism’s role in sustainable growth, ecological preservation, and cultural continuity. Key highlights include a guest lecture by renowned Greek archaeologist George Antonio, a heritage trail, street plays on sustainability, a special symposium, field visits, and a stakeholders’ conference. Led by Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sat Parkash Bansal and supported by faculty leaders, the celebration aims to align tourism education with India’s “Viksit Bharat 2047” vision and Himachal’s growing prominence as a sustainable tourism hub.
