District-Level Sarahan Dussehra Fair to be Held from October 2–5

Rampur, Sept 17 – A key meeting chaired by SDM Rampur and Mela Committee Chairman Harsh Amrendra Singh finalized that the district-level Sarahan Dussehra Fair will be organized from October 2 to 5, 2025. Invitations have been extended to around 23 deities from Shimla, Kinnaur, and Kullu districts to participate.

The four-day fair will feature religious rituals, traditional performances, folk dances, folk songs, and cultural evenings on October 3 and 4, showcasing Himachali heritage. Popular artists from the state will be invited to perform.

Officials were directed to ensure smooth arrangements including security, road maintenance, drinking water, electricity, healthcare, and traffic management. Parking facilities and visitor guidelines will also be planned.

Singh emphasized that the fair holds religious as well as cultural importance and called for collective efforts from all departments, local bodies, and community groups to make the event successful.
