Woman Murdered in Bhoranj; Police Launch Probe

Bhoranj, Sept 17 – A shocking murder case has emerged in village Bailag under Gram Panchayat Dhirad, Bhoranj. A 52-year-old woman, Somlata, was found dead with severe head injuries, while her 22-year-old son Abhay Thakur was rendered unconscious after reportedly being drugged by the assailant.

According to police, family members discovered both mother and son lying unconscious in their room. They were rushed to Civil Hospital Bhoranj, where Somlata was declared brought dead. Her body bore marks of assault near the head and eyes, with blood oozing from both ears.

DSP Lalman Sharma confirmed that a murder case has been registered. The body has been sent for postmortem at District Hospital Hamirpur, and an SFL team from Mandi is investigating the scene.
