Workshop on Pension, GPF, Audit & Accounts Held in Solan

Solan, Sept 12 — Deputy Commissioner Solan Manmohan Sharma emphasized that all Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) must be well-versed with pension and GPF rules to ensure timely benefits for pensioners. He was addressing a workshop on Pension, General Provident Fund (GPF), Audit, and Accounts held in Solan.
The DC said the objective of the workshop was to resolve pension-related grievances, ensure transparency in GPF cases, and improve the quality of settlement processes. He stressed that such workshops should be organized regularly for better awareness among officials.
Senior Deputy Accountant General Jai Prakash provided detailed insights on pension and GPF rules and addressed queries of participants. Presentations were also made by Senior Accounts Officers Judhia Ram Chaudhary, Hans Raj Heer, and Rajendra Chandel, while Assistant Accounts Officer Sudhir Rana highlighted the importance of quality in accounts.
The session was organized as per guidelines of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India. District Treasury Officer Gopi Chand Sharma, officers from the Accountant General’s office, and DDOs from various departments attended the workshop.
