Administration Ensures Relief for Rain-Hit Families in Bilaspur

Bilaspur, Sept 10: Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar visited rain-affected families in Gram Panchayat Mandi Manwa and distributed relief material including tarpaulins, ration kits, blankets, and medical kits to victims Shyamlal and Kamaljeet. SDM Sadar Dr. Rajdeep Singh and BDO Babita accompanied him.

The DC assured families that the administration stands firmly with them. Damage assessment has already been completed and cases forwarded to the government for compensation under the Relief Manual. Affected families have been shifted to safer locations and provided with immediate assistance.

He further stated that relief efforts are underway across all four assembly constituencies of the district, with orders issued for speedy assessment and disbursement of aid. The government will also bear rental expenses of families shifted to rented houses. Road restoration and repair of drinking water schemes are being taken up on priority to minimize inconvenience to the public.
