Himachal’s Mridula Srivastava to be honoured with ‘Sahitya Shiromani Samman’ in Bhutan

Shimla, Sept 8: Senior litterateur and former Deputy General Manager of SJVN, Mridula Srivastava, will be honoured with the Sahitya Shiromani Samman in Thimphu, Bhutan, on September 14 for her acclaimed story collection “Jalpash” and other literary contributions.
The honour will be conferred during the Bhutan-India Literature Festival (Sept 13–17), organized by Krantidhara Sahitya Academy, where writers and scholars from both nations will participate. On the occasion, her first satire collection “Aalasya Mev Jayate” will also be released.
Mridula, whose works have been published in India and Mauritius, has previously received the Srijanlok Pratham Kriti Samman for her debut collection “Kaash Pandori Na Hoti”. Several of her works have been translated into English, French and Nepali.
