₹69 Lakh Transferred to Beneficiaries under CM Sukh Aashray Yojana

Hamirpur, Sept 5: Deputy Commissioner Amardeep Singh informed that ₹69 lakh has been transferred directly into the bank accounts of 50 beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantri Sukh Aashray Yojana, launched for the welfare of orphans and destitute youth up to the age of 27 years. He was chairing the district-level committee meeting on Sukh Aashray Yojana and Sponsorship & Foster Care Scheme.

The DC said that 19 destitute youths were provided ₹2 lakh each for marriage assistance, amounting to ₹38 lakh in total. Similarly, 31 beneficiaries received the first installment of ₹1 lakh each for house construction, with the remaining ₹2 lakh to be released in two installments after field verification. The committee also approved 31 new applications under the scheme.

In addition, the committee sanctioned benefits for 24 children below 18 years under the Sponsorship and Foster Care Scheme. With this, the number of children covered under the scheme in Hamirpur district has risen to 1,147, each receiving ₹4,000 per month for upbringing and care.
