Heavy Rain Triggers Landslide, Shamti Bypass in Solan Shut Down

Heavy rainfall continues to wreak havoc in Himachal Pradesh, triggering frequent landslides across the state. In Solan district, the Shamti bypass road has been completely closed due to continuous downpours. A major portion of the road near Shyothal village has caved in, halting traffic movement entirely and causing severe inconvenience to commuters and drivers. According to PWD Executive Engineer Ravi Kapoor, multiple cracks have been reported along the Shamti bypass, and restoration work will be carried out at the earliest.
