Residents in Chamba Receive Electric Shocks from Home Appliances

Chamba, September 3 – Panic gripped Surada area under Municipal Council Chamba when several residents reported receiving electric shocks while touching home appliances. The issue was reported through Councillor Urmila Jasrotia, following which Electricity Board officials rushed to the spot. JE Vineet urged residents to remain cautious, especially during rains, and avoid handling electrical devices barefoot or with wet hands. Officials suspect current leakage near transformers and electric poles due to persistent rains. The Electricity Board has initiated an investigation to resolve the issue at the earliest.
